Huawei introduces the first AI-powered glasses, called HTC Vive Eagle, as its entry into the category of display-less smart glasses. They serve as your ideal companion for every adventure.

Design

In terms of design, HTC VIVE Eagle looks much like its rivals such as Ray-Ban Meta, Rokid Glasses, and Xiaomi’s AI Glasses. They come in four colors of Berry, Coffee, Black and Grey. They come with adjustable nose pads and are designed for all-day comfort. The wearable is lightweight and weighs just 49 grams. They boast advanced sun protection and offer an iconic look that keeps your both vision and style sharp.

Features

The glasses integrate music playback, voice assistance, smart photography and photo-based translation into a single frame. The open-ear speakers are capable of delivering crisp spatial sound with advanced audio tuning and bass technology. These glasses have an inbuilt AI assistant that can be powered by Google’s Gemini or OpenAI’s GPT. The quick-control button activates VIVE Eagle’s AI assistant. It is capable of translating menus, suggest recipes, get latest news and more.

Camera and Processor

Moreover, it has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, built-in AI computing, and voice interaction. The camera captures 3024 × 4032 px photos and 1512 × 2016 px video at up to 30fps. They are backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. These also offer IP54 ingress protection against water and dust.

Battery Life and Connectivity

For connectivity, the glasses support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.3. You can pair it with iOS 17.6+ or Android 10+ phone via Vive Connect app. They house 235mAh battery and offer up to 36 hours of standby, 4.5 hours of music playback and 3 hours for voice calls. Also, they support fast charging and just 10 minutes of charge delivers 50% of battery.
