Honor Smart Ring is Coming with Health Tracking Features

Honor’s Entry into Smart Rings:

After boAt, Noise, and Samsung; Honor has revealed that they are working on a smart ring. During MWC 2024, the plans for the wearable were revealed. The smart ring does not have an official name yet but would be the first device of its kind from the company. Honor has recently expanded its wearable category with launch of Honor Choice Watch.

Development and Features:

George Zhao, Honor CEO, said that the company is developing its own smart ring. “Internally, we have this kind of solution, now we are working on that part, so in the future you can have the HONOR ring,” Zhao said in his statement to CNBC. Though he does not reveal any specification detail about the device but said that the new product will be a part of the company’s broader focus on health. He also said that it will work with AI-enabled apps topl provide professional training courses based on user’s health data and habits.

Competition with Samsung and Others:

This smart ring by Honor will compete with Samsung Galaxy Ring. Samsung’s first smart ring is expected to include multiple sensors to monitor health of the wearer. Unlike Honor, Samsung showed a glimpse of its prototype during MWC, demonstrating potential features. There have also been industry talks about tech giants like Apple and Polar are also exploring smart ring industry.
