The company touts its long eight-day battery life on standby mode. It is priced at ₹5,999/- for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant and the first 5 million units are available for ₹4,999/-, discount of ₹1,000/-. Display and Processor
Xiaomi Redmi 5A flaunts a 5-inch HD display with resolution of 720 * 1280 pixels and pixel density of 296ppi. Under the shell, it is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. It runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat operating system.
Camera and Battery
In terms of optics, Redmi 5A includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and PDAF. At the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera with aperture of f/2.0. The smartphone is backed by 3000mAh battery with 5V/1A charging which is rated to deliver 7 hours of video playback and up to 8 days of standby time.
Connectivity Features
The connectivity options of the handset include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-USB port. The sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. It measures 140.4 * 70.1 * 8.35 mm and weighs 137 grams.
