The Xiaomi Redmi 3S is officially launched in India alongside the Redmi 3S Prime Variant. According to the company, these smartphones are ‘Made in India’ devices. While the Redmi 3S is priced at ₹6,999/-, the Redmi 3S Prime costs ₹8,999/-. These will be available for purchase on Amazon, Mi.com and Flipkart. Display and Processor
The Redmi 3S is an upgraded variant of the very popular Redmi 3. It comes with a full metal body having a 5-inch HD screen with matte metal back curving the edges. The resolution is 1280 * 720 pixels with a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz. It includes Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage.
Camera and Battery
Xiaomi Redmi 3S comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. At the front, it houses a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. Both the cameras are capable of recording videos at 1080p and you can get various features such as age and gender detection. The handset is backed by a 4100mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi, GPS, FM, 3G, 4G and Bluetooth. The primary SIM can support 4G calls and data while the secondary can support 3G calls. The sensors include proximity sensor, ambient light, accelerometer and gyroscope.
