Sony launches new smartphones for the Indian users called R1 and R1 Plus. They are priced at ₹12,990/- and ₹14,990/- respectively. As a launch offer, the buyers will get 10GB data on purchase of recharge of ₹300/- and above from Idea. One can also avail no cost EMI via Bajaj Finserv’s EMI card and all major credit cards. Display and Processor
Both smartphones come integrated with 5.2-inch TFT display having resolution of 720 * 1280 pixels. They are powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. R1 comes packed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage while the R1 Plus includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. They run Android Nougat operating system and Oreo update are also being promised.
Camera and Battery
On the photography front, the smartphones include 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and Exmor sony sensor. There’s an 8-megapixel front camera. The devices are backed by 2620mAh battery and support USB Type-C port. In addition, Sony is also promoting the devices support for fast upload and browsing via uplink data compression. They are backed by 2620mAh battery.
The connectivity options of the handsets include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, FM, 3G, USB OTG, and Bluetooth. The sensors on the phone are accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.
