A new soundbar has entered the market to cater the demand of audio products. Sony HT-G700 Soundar has been launched for the price of ₹47,990/- ($598). It is available for purchase at Sony retail stores and e-commerce platforms like Amazon. They are a great way to enhance the sound from TV without the need for a dedicated home theatre setup. It is easy to setup and comes with connectivity like HDMI ARC and can also decode audio formats such as Dolby Atmos. Sony HT-G700 is a 3.1-channel soundbar with a trio of 45 x 10mm oval-shaped cones in main unit for left, right and center channels with wireless subwoofer with 160mm cone for low-frequency effects. On top of soundbar, the touch-sensitive buttons are for power, Bluetooth, and volume up/down. It comes with thin and non-backlit remote with large round volume button.
The soundbar comes with a wireless subwoofer with large cabinet size. Sony ensures that the product is capable of delivering a rich bass. According to the company, it delivers 400W power output with 7.1.2 surround sound to offer a theatre-like experience. This soundbar supports three flavors of immersive 3D audio virtualization: Dolby Atmos with height virtualization technology, DTS Virtual:X, and Sony’s aforementioned immersive AE.
In terms of connectivity, the soundbar has HDMI port for eARC and one HDMI passthrough port to support 4K HD including Dolby Vision. It has an optical port, USB port and also supports Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity. It is capable of wirelessly connecting to the subwoofer. You can just connect the two to power supply, connect HDMI cable to ARC port of TV and to HDMI out port on soundbar.
