Samsung has released a new headset for the Indian users called Samsung Z2. The smartphone is the first 4G smartphone by Samsung which is powered by Tizen mobile operating system. It goes on sale on August 29 and is priced at ₹4,590/-. It will be available in Black, Wine Red and Gold Color variants via Paytm and Samsung’s offline retail stores. Commenting on the launch, Manu Sharma, Vice President, Samsung India Electronics, said, “Samsung Z2 makes 4G accessible and relevant to the unique needs of feature phone users and first time smartphone buyers. It brings consumers a fast and affordable mobile internet experience that will democratize 4G usage in the country.”
Display and Processor
Samsung Z2 sports a 4-inch WVGA display having resolution of 480 * 800 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone houses 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It is the first 4G LTE smartphone from Samsung that runs Tizen OS. The latest version of Tizen OS allows users to unlock their phone using gesture unlock. The OS also comes with Smart Tutor app.
Camera and Battery
It comes with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. It is powered by a 1500mAh battery that can deliver up to 8 hours of 4G browsing. The smartphone, Samsung Z2, also comes with Ultra Data Saving Mode which the company claims to save up to 40 percent data.
The smartphone comes with supports for 12 Indian languages and comes pre-loaded with My Money Transfer app. This app enables users to transfer up to Rs. 5,000 without Internet service. Samsung Z2 comes with Jio Preview offer that provides unlimited access to voice and data along with Jio apps for 90 days. It also includes S Bike mode.
