Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy J2 (2016) smartphone at an event in New Delhi along with Galaxy J Max. Priced at ₹9,750/-, it will be available for purchase starting 10th July. The highlight of the smartphone is a feature called Smart Glow notification system. It is in the shape of a ring that runs around the rear camera. It can be customized to send up to four priority notifications. Using the Selfie Assist feature, it can also be coupled with the rear camera and click higher megapixel selfies. Display and Processor
The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) features a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a 720p resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. One can expand the memory by up to 32GB via microSD card. The company says that it has re-engineered the core to provide superior device performance and reducing native app loading time by up to 40 percent. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based TouchWiz UI support for features such as Smart Notifier and vertical scroll navigation in app tray.
Camera and Battery
The smartphone packs an 8MP primary camera on the rear and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. It comes with a 2600mAh battery. The device comes with various other useful features such as S Bike mode and Ultra Data Saving mode. It will be available in three different color variants: black, silver and golden. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, it includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G and 4G. The sensors include gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer.
