Panasonic India has launched a new smartphone called Eluga Tapp at the price of ₹8,990/-. The smartphone comes with a front fingerprint scanner and one touch security which the company claims that it will ensure that only its user can access data on the phone. In addition, there’s another security feature called ‘Android for Work’ that lets one segregate business apps from personal apps. It will face competition from smartphones like Redmi 3S Prime, Moto E3 Power and more. Let’s have a look at its features:
Display and Processor
Panasonic Eluga Tapp features a 5-inch full-HD IPS display and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz. The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and supports 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. On the software front, it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Camera and Battery
On the camera front, it supports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and has a 5-megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 2,800mAh non-removable battery. On the connectivity front, the Eluga Tapp supports 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, dual-SIM and micro USB 2.0. It will be offered in champagne gold and silver grey color variants. The sensors on the phone include proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor. Panasonic also offers a protective screen guard.
