Panasonic launches a new smartphone called Eluga I9 in India for the price of ₹7,499/-. It goes on sale exclusively on Flipkart and is going to compete against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Display and Processor
Panasonic Eluga I9 comes with a 5-inch display with resolution of 720 * 1280 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz. It houses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded further via microSD card up to 128GB. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with company’s own customizations atop including Arbo virtual assistant.
Camera and Battery
In terms of optics, Panasonic Eluga I9 includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash module. At the front, it has a 5-megapixel sensor with a diffused, selfie flash. The camera comes preloaded with modes like watermark, panorama, burst mode and many more filters. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery that offers up to eight hours of video playback on a single charge.
The connectivity options of this dual-SIM smartphone include 4G VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. The sensors on the phone include fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass magnetometer and ambient light sensor. It also comes with OTG support. The smartphone comes in blue, champagne gold and space grey color variants.
