Micromax launches a new smartphone under the Canvas Series called Canvas 1. Priced at ₹6,999/-, the smartphone is available for purchase at offline retail stores. It comes in two color variants: matte black and chrome black. Micromax Canvas 1 is going to compete against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4A, Intex Aqua S3 and similarly priced smartphones. Display and Processor
Micromax Canvas 1 flaunts a 5-inch 2.5D HD display with resolution of 720 * 1280 pixels. Under the shell, it is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor along with 2GB of RAM. The phone houses 16GB of storage that is expandable further via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs Android Nougat operating system.
Camera and Battery
In terms of optics, Micromax Canvas 1 features an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. The rear camera comes with dual color temperature flash light with 80 degree wide angle view. It also includes different camera modes such as watermark, time lapse, HDR and beauty mode. The smartphone is backed by 2500mAh battery.
The connectivity options of the handset include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth. The OTG support provides quick access to mass storage and it can be connected to various devices. The sensors on the phone are proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and accelerometer. It includes a new Freezer app to disable memory-intensive apps. The company also offers 100-day replacement promise on any hardware issue as a part of one year warranty.
