Xiaomi has recently launched the most affordable yet loud speaker in India and is called Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker (16W). It is priced at ₹2,499/- and can be purchased online at Amazon and mi.com in black and blue color options. Design
Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker (16W) features a robust build. There’s a bar mode made of rubber that includes physical buttons. They let you activate voice assistant, turn on/off the speaker, read its current battery percentage etc. There’s a dedicated button for wireless stereo pairing as well that lets you connect two Mi Portable Bluetooth speakers together. It features a strap to easily hold it.
Audio Quality
This portable speaker features two 8W drivers and is capable of producing rich and balanced sound. The performance is decent even at low volumes. At highest volumes, this small speaker is loud enough to cover a large room. There are two equaliser modes – deep bass and normal. At this price, it does a reasonable job of providing decent sound quality experience.
Battery Life
Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker (16W) houses a 2600 mAh battery and the charging is done via USB Type-C port. It takes about 3 hours to completely charge the speaker using a 10W wall adapter. It runs for about 13 hours with 50% volumes.
