Domestic smartphone maker, Lava, has come up with its budget smartphone called Lava A56. This 2G smartphone is targeted towards the specific section of customers who are on a tight budget. The smartphone is priced at ₹4,199/- and will be available across all offline retailers across the country. With today’s smartphones focusing on 3G and 4G, Lava A56 is limited to 2G only. Display and Processor
The smartphone comes with a polycarbonate body and features a textured pattern on the rear. Lava A56 flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA display having resolution of 854 * 480 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. The phone houses 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable via microSD card. The phone measures 147 * 72.2 * 9.9mm. It runs Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system.
Camera and Battery
The smartphone sports a 5MP primary camera with LED flash and also comes with features such as HDR, Grid, HD video calling and digital zoom. There’s a VGA snapper on the front. Lava A56 is powered by a 1,850mAh battery. Talking about the connectivity options, it includes GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth. The device comes with accelerometer sensor. The company is also providing one-year manufacturer warranty for the phone and six months warranty for in-box accessories.
