The handset is essentially free as you have to make the refundable security deposit of ₹1,500/-. To book your JioPhone, you need to pay the initial deposit of ₹500/- only. JioPhone features a 2.4-inch QWVGA display with resolution of 240 * 320 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by 1.2GHz Spreadtrum dual-core processor along with Mali-400 GPU. It houses 512MB of RAM and has 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable further via microSD card up to 218GB.
Camera and Battery
In terms of optics, JioPhone has a 2-megapixel rear camera at the back and a VGA front camera. The feature phone is packed by 2000mAh battery and is rated to deliver to provide 12 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time.
The connectivity features of the single-SIM JioPhone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, FM Radio, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1 and USB 2.0 support. The in-box accessories include the phone, charger adaptor, removable battery, quick service guide, SIM card and warranty card.
JioPhone comes with voice-enabled search with Jio Assistant to let you open apps, compose messages and search on Google. You can connect the phone to TV for projection using JioMediaCable. The feature phone comes with support for 22 Indian languages.
