Huawei Launches New Products Including Watch GT Active and GT Elegant

Huawei has announced five new wearable devices: Watch GT Active, Huawei Watch GT Elegant, Huawei FreeLace, Huawei FreeBuds Lite and Huawei Smart Glasses. Here, we get into the details including pricing, specifications and their availability.

Huawei Watch GT Active and Watch GT Elegant

Huawei Watch GT Active sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display having resolution of 454 * 454 pixels resolution. On the other hand, Watch GT Elegant houses a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with resolution of 390 * 390 pixels. According to the company, Watch GT Active can last for about two weeks while GT Elegant can last for one week on a single charge. Huawei has not yet revealed the processor, RAM, storage or the battery capacity of the smartwatches.

Both smartwatches come with Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. They come with a Triathlon mode to let you track open-water swimming, outdoor running and outdoor cycling. Huawei Watch GT Elegant delivers premium look to the users by offering magic pearl white and Tahitian magic pearl color variants.

Huawei Watch GT Active will go on sale for €249 (roughly ₹19,300/-) while Watch GT Elegant Edition will cost €229 (roughly ₹17,800/-). The sensors on these two smartwatches are gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer and optical heart rate sensor.

Huawei FreeBuds Lite

The FreeBuds Lite by Huawei are truly wireless earbuds. They come with IPX4 water and dust resistance. In terms of battery life, they can last for three hours on a single charge. In addition, the battery case holds three additional charges for a total of 12 hours of battery backup. The Huawei FreeBuds Lite earbuds will go on sale for €119 (roughly ₹9,200/-).

FreeLace Neckbuds

FreeLace neckbuds are another product unveiled by Huawei. These are connected by cable which can split into two. Thus, the neckbuds can be split in such a way that right earbud can be unhooked to reveal USB-C plug. You can charge the device as well as connect it to smartphone. Just a five minute of charge gives you four hours of playback. They promise to offer battery life of 18 hours. Huawei FreeLace will cost €99 (roughly ₹7,700/-).

Smart Glasses

 Last but not the least; smart glasses are also showcased by the company. Huawei has partnered with Gentle Monster to develop its own line of smart glasses. These smart glasses come equipped with antennas, speaker, battery and dual microphones. In addition, the glasses come with charging case which will use NFC contactless charging to charge the device wirelessly. These smart glasses come with IP67 water and dust resistance, 2200mAh battery and USB Type-C port. As they include speaker and microphone, one can interact with smart assistants in their smartphones effortlessly. However, the price of smart glasses has not been announced but the company mentioned that they will come in a range of models sometime around July this year.

As far as the price and availability of the new devices in India is concerned, it has not been announced by Huawei as of now.
