Google has announced the availability of Google Home and Home Mini in India for the price of ₹9,999/- and ₹4,999/- respectively. These smart speakers are exclusive to Flipkart. Here, we take a close look at the features of Google Home:

Ease of Use

Google Home comes with a touch interface to control playback, volume and Google Assistant. It includes lights to change patterns and colors depending on the action being performed. It has a 2-inch speaker with dual 2-inch passive radiators for bass. You can activate it saying ‘Ok Google’. The mic offers far-field voice recognition and is able to identify different voices with Voice Match technology. At the back, it includes mic mute button and power status light.

Compatibility

Google Home Speaker supports devices that run Android 4.4 Kitkat and higher or iOS with 9.1 and higher. It works with Android TVs and can be used to control Netflix as well. One can ask the speaker things such as how long will it take to reach a place or your horoscope and more. In addition, Google has partnered with NDTV, Times of India, Dainik Bhaskar and Aaj Tak for news content.
