Garmin Vivosmart 5 fitness tracker, announced in April this year, has been launched in India for the price of ₹14,990/- in black and mint colors. It is available for purchase at Flipkart and Amazon. It comes with many tracking abilities such as women’s health tracking, blood oxygen level tracking, intensity minute tracker, heart rate tracking and more. In this smartwatch review, we take a close look at its features:
Design and Display
It carries the design of a typical smart band with 0.73-inch OLED display and resolution of 88 * 154 pixels. It comes in various variants: one with circumference of 122-188mm and the other one with circumference of 148-228mm. Garmin Vivosmart 5 has 5ATM water rating and thus can withstand pressure up to depth of 50 meters. This implies that you can easily wear it during swimming as well.
Health Monitoring Features
Garmin Vivosmart 5 comes with heart rate monitoring, advanced sleep monitoring, stress tracking, blood oxygen tracking and women’s health tracking. It also includes Body Battery Energy Monitoring which records the body energy levels throughout the day. This helps one to determine the best time for activity and rest. It reminds you to stay hydrated and you can also set an auto goal for hydration. The Respiration Tracking feature shows how you are breathing all day. With this smart band, you can also step counter, distance traveled, calories burnt and support for sport activities.

Connectivity and Battery Life
Garmin Vivosmart 5 can deliver up to 7 days of runtime on a single charge. Connectivity options include Bluetooth Smart and ANT+. The sensors on board include Garmin Elevate heart rate sensor, pulse oxygen saturation sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor.
