Garmin has brought new ranges of smartwatches in India called Forerunner 245 and Forerunner 245 Music. They have been unveiled globally last month and two of them have been launched in the country. The price of Garmin Forerunner 245 has been set at ₹29,990/- ($299.99) and is available for purchase at Amazon, Myntra and Paytm Mall. Let’s check out its features:
Design
Garmin Forerunner 245 is a GPS – enabled smartwatch and comes with an always-on, sunlight-readable display. You can also customize the smartwatch with free watch faces, apps and more. The underside of the smartwatch has optical HR sensor to always monitor the heart rate.
Advanced Training Features
Garmin Forerunner 245 provides you advanced running dynamics such as ground contact time balance, stride length etc. There’s a useful feature called Body Battery to help one to optimize the energy of user. It monitors the data of user’s energy. It has in-built safety and tracking features including incident detection and makes it easy for you to share your location. This lets you share your location to pre-chosen contacts in case of any emergency. Then, there’s an improved race predictor to predict the race timing and plan training sessions.
Battery Life and Sensors
In terms of battery life, Garmin Forerunner 245 comes with seven days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to six hours in GPS mode with music. It offers up to 24 hours of battery life in GPS mode without music. The sensors on smartwatch include Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ sensors.
