Fossil Gen 5E is the latest smartwatch launched in India and it comes with WearOS by Google. It comes in two sizes – 44 mm for men and 42 mm for women. It comes in silicone, stainless steel, leather and stainless steel mesh strap options. Fossil has launched Hybrid HR last year and now this wearable has been launched at slightly high price of ₹18,495/- ($169) at official website and Flipkart. Design and Tracking
Fossil Gen 5E sports a 1.19-inch AMOLED screen with always-on display. The display has resolution of 390 * 390 pixels and pixel density of 328 ppi. It has 3ATM water resistance. It has a home button to the right and also supports touchscreen. The smart watch has speaker and microphone for calling. For fitness tracking, it comes with Google Fit and can track activity goals, steps, cardio levels, sleep and more.
Processor
Under the hood, it is powered by WearOS by Google and supports notifications for calling, texting and calendar syncing as well. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset with 1GB of RAM and 4GB f storage. It lets you answer and make calls directly on the watch. The watch comes preloaded with apps such as alarm, calendar, phone dialer app, Google Fit, Google Assistant, Google Pay and more.
Battery and Connectivity
The watch promises to offer 24 hours of battery life with extended mode. Users can also tweak the Smart Battery Modes offered by WearOS to extend the battery life. In terms of connectivity, it includes Bluetooth 4.2LE, NFC and Wi-Fi.
