Bose has showcased audio AR sunglasses a year back for $199 and has now brought them to the Indian market. The company has made available sunglasses for the price of ₹21,900/- and can be purchased from online stores like Amazon India. Bose Frames are the first product by the company that supports AR platform. These sunglasses are the perfect amalgamation of premium sunglasses, audio AR features as well as wireless headphones.
Mehul Trivedi, director of Bose Frames said, “Frames are both magical and practical.” “With the new lens options, they’re more versatile premium sunglasses. But when you turn them on, they function like headphones, instantly connecting to your phone, contacts, the web, and all its audible content. Frames have taken the wearable category by storm since their U.S. release six months ago, and we’re really excited to bring their groundbreaking performance — and new accessories — to people all over the world.”
Bose Frames AR sunglasses come in two universal styles of larger Alto and smaller Rondo. Also, the Bose Frames Lens Collection is offered in polarised and non-polarised lenses for the price of ₹1,990/- and ₹2,990/- respectively. Alto is square and angled and on the other hand, Rondo is smaller and round. Both are able to block 99% of UVA/UVB rays and one can also replace uniformly tinted lenses.
In terms of audio, Bose Frames AR sunglasses come with built-in Bose speakers to provide immersive sound. They pack a tiny Bose audio system in the temples. The open-ear audio lets you stay aware around your surroundings and at the same time, enjoying great music. Also, you can turn the audio system into wireless pair of headphones. It has integrated microphone for crystal clear calls. The multi-function button on the right temple is useful for power and pairing Siri and Google Assistant. You can also use it for pausing or skipping songs.
